St George Scuba Club is an independent dive club with no association to any commercial dive operation. It is the largest independent dive club in New South Wales and the second oldest still operating, founded in 1973.

We believe that St George Scuba Club is Sydney's friendliest and most active independent dive club, run by and for its members.

As well as local diving, we organise trips within NSW and Australia, as well as overseas.

In 2022 we had trips to Lord Howe Island and Townsville, Indonesia and three separate weeklong trips to Wooli and trips to Ulladulla and South West Rocks. Other trips were held to NSW locations and dozens of local dives.

In 2023 there are more trips to Wooli, South West Rocks, Narooma, Cape York (Great Barrier Reef) and other locations such as Nelson Bay. The Boys and Girls Weekends are also on and special boat dive days out of Botany Bay. We have weekly boat and shore dives as well.

Have a browse through this web site to learn more about the Club and its activities. Then, if you think that you would like to join, check out the meetings page or fill in the membership form (use the link on left) and join the Club.

The Club also has a Facebook page which members can use to advertise dives. (Only club members can see and join the Facebook group).

New Life Member
Congratulations Paul. Our newest Life Member Paul Pacey, was unanimously voted a Life member at our August 2023 AGM. Well done Paul.

Unfortunately, Paul died on 5 January 2024 after a long illness. RIP Paul, a truly great member of the St George Scuba Club.
