How do I join the Club?
Come along to a meeting and join or complete the form available as a download and send to the Club's Post Office box with a cheque.
When are your meetings?
The third Wednesday of the month.
Where are the meetings held?
At Rowers on Cooks River (formerly called St George Rowing Club), Levey Street, Wolli Creek (ex Arncliffe). This is near the International Airport. Catch a train to Wolli Creek and it is less than 10 minutes walk.
What shop is your Club associated with?
None, it is an independent Club.
Who runs the Club
The members. The Club is a democratic organisation where all members are encouraged contribute to the operation of the Club.
Do you own your own boat?
No, but members of the Club do and generally around Sydney we dive off their boats
Do you teach scuba diving?
No.
Do you hire gear?
No, but we can sometimes loan things like tanks and weights to members.
How much does membership cost?
$25 per year, with a reduced rate from 1 January of $15.
I am visiting Sydney, can I dive with you?
We will always try to help out visiting divers, especially those who are members of other independent dive Clubs. If you are staying for an extended period we would expect you to join the Club.
Do you sell dive gear?
No, but we sometimes can arrange cheap deals for gear.
Do you have a compressor?
No.
What do I get for my membership fee?
You contribute towards the general running of the Club (insurance and incorporation fees). In addition, you get a free cap, hat or beanie and a beer cooler when you attend a dive or meeting. We also provide food for the Christmas Party as well as a BBQ subsidy for dive weekends. Lastly, we occasionally provide free boat dives for combined BBQ/picnic dive days.
